“I produced, recorded and mixed so many talented bands and found out that there’s so much good music that we will never hear because we dont know where to find it”

Sven Lens, Producer/engineer and founder of Walk in – Play – Walk out.

Every band has Facebook, Twitter and a website, but with Walk in – Play – Walk out there’s a website where you can play your songs in a HD quality studiosession to promote your music and be found by thousands of people.
-
The concept is raw and straightforward: every band walks into the  studio , plays a set of about 15 minutes and walks out again. Just play. Give it all you got. The session is recorded in HD quality (audio and video) and gets published on this site. The recording is not edited or a compilation from two or more takes: What is played during the session is what you see. No overdubs, no tuning.
-
Not only a great opportunity for bands, artists and acts to show who they are, but also for bookers, managements, record labels, producers etc. to showcase their roster or to check out talented bands/artists.
-
What’s in it for the artists and me? I select the bands myself, so I like the music..And it´s free publicity for the both of us. bands get HQ recordings in audio and video, I get my name and studio more known. Also, every band that has their album record & mix by me in the As Loud As studio gets a free session…which attracts bands obviously.
-

How do I do it? I ask students from “Sound & Vision” (an audiovisual education where I teach) to help me setting up light, video and sound at the sessionday. Also, I have friends that help me realising the sessions by loaning us their gear and sharing their knowledge. Recordings take place in my As loud as studio, fully setup and equipped for recordings. That way I can keep costs low and still make high-quality recordings.

Interested and do you think you got what it takes? Let me know by email (in English or Dutch) and don’t forget to like the “Walk in – Play – Walk out” page on Facebook!

Cheers,
